Mr. Kelley’s Practice

Steve's law practice includes advising clients on all areas of business law, including formation issues, raising capital, debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, employment matters, strategic initiatives and technology issues. His clients include high-tech companies, manufacturers, real estate developers, medical professionals and entrepreneurs of all sizes.

Steve is an experienced executive with more than seven years of CEO-level management experience, including rising through the ranks to eventually run one of the Northwest's largest and oldest privately-held companies. This experience sets Steve apart from other attorneys and inspires a bond between Steve and his clients that transcends the typical lawyer/client relationship.

Steve is also an experienced and successful trial attorney, winning millions of dollars for his clients in both State and Federal courts.

Prior to forming KDG, Steve was a member at the Summit Law Group in Seattle. Steve received his undergraduate degree in Finance, magna cum laude, from the University of Puget Sound and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School as an honors student, where Steve was the Articles Editor of the Notre Dame Journal of Legislation.

Steve lives in Seattle with his wife and four children.

Mr. Donion’s Practice

Paul's practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate finance, corporate governance and corporate transactional matters. He is experienced in working with companies in all stages of the corporate growth cycle, from early stage private companies to publicly traded companies. He routinely works with senior management and with private equity firms and their portfolio companies in reaching strategic goals. He has broad experience in advising clients on disclosure, regulatory and compliance issues related to public reporting status and often acts as outside general counsel on a broad array of issues and transactions for clients that do not have an internal legal staff.

With over fifteen years working overseas, Paul's international practice covers Europe and Asia with substantial experience with both the Frankfurt and XETRA Exchanges. He has experience working with the regulatory machines of the EU as well as capital structure formation challenges throughout Asia, South America and Western and Central Europe.

In addition to his corporate practice, Paul is an experienced trial lawyer with a number of successful verdicts and settlements.

Prior to joining KDG, Paul worked with General Electric's Corporate Intellectual Property Group, overseeing the international intellectual property acquisition platforms for Europe and Asia. Paul received his undergraduate degree in Architecture from the University of Washington and his J.D. from Seton Hall University and Seattle University School of Law.

Mr. Gill’s Practice

Shaun advises both individuals and companies on a variety of real estate related matters, including purchase and sale, leasing, financing, construction and development, as well as historic rehabilitation and condominium construction and conversion. Shaun also specializes in tax credit financings, including historic tax credits, low income tax credits, redevelopment tax credits, new markets tax credits, 1031 exchanges and 1031 tenant-in-common syndications. Shaun also has substantial experience assisting clients in developing, structuring and implementing such financings, as well as facilitating state and local bond financing on behalf of issuers.

In addition, Shaun has experience advising public and private companies on a range of corporate issues including entity formation and structuring, securities offerings and compliance, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.

Shaun is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and a board member of the South Asian Bar Association of Washington. He was named a "Rising Star" in 2007 by Washington Law & Politics magazine.

Prior to joining the firm, Shaun was a partner at Cairncross & Hempelmann in Seattle.

Mr. Huck’s Practice

Chris is an experienced litigator whose practice for several years has been commercial and class action litigation encompassing a variety of subject matters, including securities, consumer protection, intellectual property, and contracts of all shapes and sizes. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants before state and federal courts around the country at all levels, including at trial. His clients have included Fortune 500 companies, small entities, and individuals.

Prior to joining KDG, Chris was a commercial litigator at large defense firms (Skadden Arps and DLA Piper), a national plaintiffs firm (Milberg Weiss) and, most recently, a boutique litigation firm (Peterson Young Putra). He has repeatedly been named a “Rising Star” by Washington Law & Politics magazine.

Mike Goldfarb

Mr. Goldfarb’s Practice

Mike is an accomplished trial lawyer with twenty-seven years of experience resolving complex commercial cases through mediation, arbitration, and trial, in both state and federal courts. In the last several years, he defended the Snohomish County PUD against multi-million dollar claims by Enron, successfully brought claims against the Bonneville Power Administration in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, settled a substantial matter on behalf of a plaintiff under the Washington State Securities Act, and tried several cases in both state and federal courts.

Mike grew up in Bellevue, Washington and attended the University of Washington School of Law. Prior to joining KDG, he practiced locally for several years and, in 1990, co-founded a firm which became Rohan, Goldfarb, Rafel & Shapiro. In 2000, Mike founded The Law Office of Michael A. Goldfarb and subsequently joined Peterson Young Putra in 2008. Mike is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and he has repeatedly been named a “Super Lawyer” by Washington Law & Politics magazine.
